Thank you to everyone who applied to be a student officer. We had a lot of great applicants and it was a very tough decision. Congrats to the following students who were chosen to be a student officer:

Welcome back to Riverwood! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer. Here's some pieces of information to help you start off a great school year.
1. Handbook: Each student has received an orchestra handbook. Make sure you and your student review the handbook together. Then, fill out the handbook slip and turn it into Ms. Luhrs. Handbook slips count as a grade!
2. Fees: Each student who registers for orchestra has to pay a $50 class fee. Additionally, any student who checks out an instrument from school has to pay a $25 rental fee. Turn those into Ms. Luhrs ASAP!
3. Concert Attire: Students in need of concert attire can order it at https://form.jotform.us/71167768310155. Concert attire money can be turned into Ms. Luhrs. All concert attire should be ordered by 8/24.
4. Student Officers: Is your student interested in leading the RICS Orchestras? If so, students can apply for an officer position. Positions include president, media liaison, and librarian. Officer applications can be found on the resource page of this website.

Finally, on Wednesday, August 29th, we will be hosting a Meet the Director Night in the Cafeteria at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to come and learn more about the orchestra program at Riverwood. Food will be provided, and it will be potluck style. Sign up for a dish to share with your fellow orchestra families!
